A screener is a helpful first step if you’re unsure whether a full dyslexia assessment is needed. It doesn’t give a diagnosis, but it does highlight areas that may require further investigation or support. I offer two types of screeners so you can choose the level of detail that feels right for you.
If it is recommended that a full diagnostic assessment is completed, the cost of the screener is deducted.
Basic Dyslexia Screener
A simple, quick overview that looks for signs that you may be experiencing difficulties linked to dyslexia.
It includes:
- a background questionnaire
- key checks in vocabulary, reading and spelling
- a short written summary of findings
This option is ideal if you want an initial indication of whether a full assessment should be considered.
If it is recommended that a full diagnostic assessment is completed, the cost of the screener is deducted.

A more detailed look at the learning profile, offering a clearer sense of their strengths and the areas where they may need support.
It includes:
- background questionnaires
- a wider range of literacy checks including vocabulary, reading and spelling
- tasks that explore memory and processing
- a fuller written summary with tailored next steps for home and school
This option is best if you want a deeper understanding without committing to a full diagnostic assessment straight away.
